Measurements

Powers & Abilities It is said that Kisame was the strongest out of the Mist Swordsman, and is incredibly strong when it comes to brute strength. He is also a master swordsman, and his weapon of choice is his large, sentient sword named Samehada (shark skin). It is covered in sharp, pointed scales and shaves rather then slices. Even if it technically is not his power, Samehada absorbs chakra, as well as only being wielded by Kisame himself. Anybody else who even attempts to use the sword ends up having sharp spikes pierce their hands, freeing the sword which then returns to its master like a well trained dog.
But Kisame's main ace in the hole is his water jutsu abilities, combined with strong physical attacks. He has been known to literally throw up an entire ocean if the need calls for it. Then, using the summoned water he can manipulate the element to help fight for him, creating water dopplegangers, giant sharks, and other related attack methods. He is also known to be able to breathe underwater thanks to the gills in his cheeks, which is quite a handy asset to have when fighting under water.

Personality They say that opposites attract, whilst Kisame's partner in crime Itachi is known to be a blank canvas emotionally as well as with his features, Kisame is known to be only a little bit more colourful. He loves fighting, and finds nothing more enjoyable then having a goold old fashioned battle with somebody. Kisame is quite twisted, taking joys in ripping people to shreads not only physically but sometimes emotionally too. He loves a little bit of a joke here and then, maybe it is his attempts at making his partner smile, if only once? It is hard to tell, but unlike many of the Akatsuki members Itachi and Kisame get along fairly well. Kisame respects Itachi, be it out of fear or genuine acceptance, it is so far hard to tell.

Appearance Kisame is 195cm tall, roughly 83kg and his skin is a light blue colour. His skin is actually very small scales layered upon the other, just like fish scales. However, only those who have managed to touch him know this truth. He is quite possibly a very recognisable face, if not only for his height, but his aforementioned skin colour. But as well as his blue skin, Kisame has fish-like eyes that appear to be unable to blink. This is a lie, like some fish, Kisame does have eyelids. Only his are transparent, so when the tall man is sleeping it appears as though he is in a catatonic-state, staring blankly ahead of him. Accompanying his fish eyes, he has three gills that shape his cheekbones, under his eyes. He uses the gills to extract oxygen from the water, when he is underwater, for he is unable to breathe under water through his nose or mouth. One can not forget to mention Kisame's teeth which work just like a shark's teeth. They are sharp, seraded and pointed. Held in a powerful jaw, Kisame can bite through muscles and bones if the need arises. And if he looses a tooth, it takes only a few seconds for a new one to grow back. It hurts like Hell, so Kisame prefers to keep his teeth in tact.
He wears the usual Akatsuki garb, the high collared black robes with the red and white clouds displayed on them. He has the white pants that cover his black shoes, and as per the other members he has pained fingernails. His ring is displayed on his left ring finger, and displays the symbol for 'south'.

History There is very little known about Kisame, other then he was born in the Village Hidden in the Mist, also known as Kirigakure. It is there when Kisame joined The Seven Swordsman of the Mist, whose members were that of the most skilled and powerful swordsman that Mist had to offer. The Swordsman were sworn to protect Kirigakure as well as the Mizukage with their lives. However times changed, and the newer Mizukage was corrupt, and the Seven Swordsman changed when they were replaced and old traditions were foresaken.
Kisame, like his partner Itachi, had good reason to become a missing-nin. He was angered at seeing the land of Mist being treated the way it was, with corrupttion and the abuse of power, as well as the treatment to its citizens. To make Mist the way he remembered it, Kisame and the other swordsman made the former ANBU squad captain, and close friend, Momochi Zabuza the new head of the Swordsman. It was under his beliefs and rules that Kisame attempted assasinating the current Mizukage. Unfortunately things turned sour, and all members of the Seven Swordsman fled to save their lives, discraced that they had failed their village, as well as their people.
Somewhere after his banishment, Kisame was snapped up by the Akatsuki organisation. He was soon partnered with Uchiha Itachi, and the rest as they say is history. Between their attempts of capturing the nine tailed fox that lays within Uzumaki Naruto's body, as well as the failure, and their second meeting with Naruto and the organisation's capture of Sabaku no Gaara and successful extraction of the Tanuki Sand Demon Shukaku, Kisame has been fairly busy. However, the last thing he recalls was deciding to battle Hozuki Suigetsu, younger brother to former Swordsman member Hozuki Mangestsu.
